The Nine O'clock Woman

(0) I am the one everybody comes to when other detectives wont take their cases without wanting any thing in return.Excuse me i've been rude, alow me to introdues myself,my name Koji.Koji Suzuoe at your servise. When the others wont do it,I take it for them.I had solved many cases over the years with my young asistant Shinobu Mehara. However,no amount of cases I had solved would help me in the case of The Nine O'clock Woman. She walked into my office on March 15th,1948,dressed in cloths that showed of her figure greatly.I turnned to Shinobu who had been helping do inventory on our bookshelf and gave her the signal to get some drinks for our guest hwom I turnned back to seconds latter."Gooday mam,how might I be of assisstance to you?"I said taking her hand in mine and giving it a quick peck. She chuckled a bit before continuing our conversation."Well now, your quiet different from what I've been told about you Mr.Suzuoe."I laughed at this for it was'nt every day I resieved a compliment such as that."Thank you mam,and please, call me Koji, and thank you Shinobu."I said as I took a cup of tea from her tray and handing another one to our friend."Thank you,now my name is Julia Tonks and I have come here to ask you to do something of great importance."She said, taking a drink from her cup. When she mentioned her name I nearly choked while taking a drink from my cup. (1) I had to use every ounce of my willpower not to stare at her. Julia Tonks?? TONKS!! THE Julia Tonks? Daughter of the famous Kopirius Tonks, who ran away from her father when she was 16...? Ahh...Talk about a romanitc love story. "Yes, Miss Tonks? Ah, how can I help you? A missing pet? Petty robbery?" "No..." That was the first time I would hear the story of the Nine o' clock woman, but certainly not the last. (C of the U, Age 8 to 12, 3/11/2005 1:33:21 AM, TheNineOclockWoman)

(2) Then i had to leave Mrs.Tonks house and when i walked out there was a big bark down the street.I went down the road it was a big dog and when i mean a big dog it is.then i ran away from the big dog.then it ran awater me and i had to use my dogs toy..... (3) "Wha?! Then it was you, you are the woman that comes arond here and disgraces my town at nine-o'-clock!!!" "Pardon me, but I am not sure what you are talking about. A.m. or p.m.?" Dun-dun-daaa!!! (Gooshnoff man, Age 8 to 12, 3/17/2005 10:47:06 AM, TheNineOclockWoman)

(4) "I beg your Pardon. i do not disgrace it! I keep it safe!" "What ever do you mean?" So i settled back and rocked back in forth, in anticaption of her awnser. "Well, the day I turned twenty, two years ago, I was wotrking a late night, when I heard a woman say,'Do not say a thing, or your daughter gets it.' The man choked out an awnser,'Yyy-es! Just do not hurt Meliny!' I stiffened, and walked, or slinked in to that room. I saw......." "What? What did you see?" She glanced around, then said, in a little whisper, which only MY trained ears could pick up. "Minassa." (Ashi, Age 8 to 12, 4/27/2005 11:08:48 AM, TheNineOclockWoman)

(5) I nearly fainted. The famous actress? I must have looked very unproffesional, but I could not help it. I cried out,"what?" And ran out my office door. "Why did he act that way?" She asked Manny, my best freind, forgetting it was supposed to be a secret. "she is his niece, that is why." (Ashi, Age 8 to 12, 4/27/2005 1:56:18 PM, TheNineOclockWoman)

(6) I stared at my name plate. "Koji Suzuoe. I will take on any case." But how could I take on one in crimanating one of my own family? How? I bleakly gazed ahead. A little voice in my head said,"but you will lose your positon as detective, man. That is worse, you know." another said," No way should you take this on!" I went down to Four Star Diner, and ordered coffee. "Extra Large, please." I said wearaly. "Tough case, hon?" The waitress asked. "Is it ever!" "Good luck, then." "Thank you. I need it." After having my coffee, I went home to my apertment. 'Mabye," I thought. "after a good night's rest, I will feel better." and so I slept. (7) I had only caught two hours of sleep, because I was thinking of my problems. Minassa, my dear sister's daughter. I simply will refuse to take the case. That simple. But fate didn't want it that way. I took it anyway....... because, i promised to on my name plate. that silly promise! Oh, What'll I do?????? (Ashi, Age 8 to 12, 4/27/2005 8:18:08 PM, TheNineOclockWoman)

(8) I could not sleep the next night, niether. I was so tired, and knowing that every moment was precious to solving the case, did not help matters. I was dazed, and wished more than every to have refused. But at ten o' clock in the morning, when she called and asked if I would take it on, I did. I was very mad, for I now had gotten myself into such a mess, I could not crawl out. Oh, me and my big mouth! (Ashi, Age 8 to 12, 5/21/2005 3:37:41 PM, TheNineOclockWoman)

(9) I knew I needed to get working on her case, but I couldn't figgure out where to start. My desk was burried with paperwork from a missing child's case. I didn't even know all the details! What was I going to do? I sighed and drifted off to sleep. (Ashley , Age 8 to 12, 6/7/2005 3:50:48 PM, TheNineOclockWoman)

(10) I awoke to see a tall figure standing over me; the figure bent, and put her-I could make out a 'her' from the curvy outline-delicate angel lips to mine, and whispered softly into my ear. "Koji, you must find her.." she trailed off and her word hung dreadful and dank in the darkness of my closed-shaded office. 'But how? How could she know?' "Please, Julia.. I.. this is too hard for me." I stated conclusively. She did not leave or make any motion towards the door, but simply stroked my midnight stubble and on her breath she uttered faintly, "I know... you need to do this-for me and for you.." "I.. please don't speak of this to anyone, Julia. I'm the one who protects them; they cannot know that I am weak.." (Ashley, Age 13 to 18, 6/10/2005 11:17:23 PM, TheNineOclockWoman)
